History - Achievements since 1995

Entiba’s experts have played an active part in the technological development of the renewable energy industry in Spain since 1995. They have been involved in creating the regulatory framework for the sector as well as in the development of the renewable energy industry and its various technologies.

Also, since 2002 part of Entiba’s team has undertaken consulting and auditing work for the World Bank, IFC (International Finance Corporation, a member of the World bank) and other multilateral entities.

2002
Our experts played an active part in the development of Spain’s first wind parks, initially creating the regulatory framework and later participating in the development of some of the major projects at that time.

2003

Entiba’s American experts start their adventure as “lone rangers” external consultants working for the World Bank in projects in Brazil and Colombia.

2005
As separate groups, part of the current Entiba team created the following companies: Sun Fund 5, S.L., Helios, S.L. and Enerman, S.L. These companies developed more than 500 MW of photovoltaic solar power. Of these 500 MW, they built approximately 30 MW and the rest was sold to third parties, in order that the plants could be finished by the date stipulated by the favorable regulatory framework at that time.

2009
This was an important year for Entiba’s current experts living and working in Spain. Following the 2008 significant regulatory changes impacting the renewable energy industry substantially slowing the development of new plants, both Sun Fund 5 and Enerman –centered in the development of new plants as well as in seeking new investors− started their dissolution as companies. Helios was maintained and a new company, Sidir Renovables, was created. Both Helios and Sidir manage and maintain photovoltaic solar plants.

2010

Enerman ceases its operations, since it no longer makes sense to survive as an EPC company given the new regulatory changes. It is at that moment that some of Entiba’s current experts create Novaxergía, a new company funded with own capital and devoted to project engineering in the field of renewable energy.

2013
This year sees the foundation of Entiba Energía as an engineering and consulting company not only devoted to photovoltaic solar plants projects (in particular those for self-consumption), but including also in its business the specialty of energy efficiency. Entiba’s experts are then certified by the corresponding authority as energy auditors and start issuing the required energy certificates for buildings.

2015
Entiba starts exploring new markets for its consulting and engineering businesses outside Spain. When we identify opportunities we rely on Novaxergía’s support.

At the same time the American professionals join our team. They have a long history in energy as well as in mining projects, always taking into account social and environmental sustainability. With this addition Entiba completes its multidisciplinary team of experts capable of undertaking any project in all their dimensions –technical, administrative, legal, environmental and social.

2016
Entiba registers as a company in various multilateral entities such as UNO, EU and bilateral development banks. The aim is to contribute to the development of renewable energy regulatory frameworks in developing countries and to the implementation of policy monitoring and controlling procedures.

The company also seeks to participate in renewable energy projects in developing countries, backed by the financing and guarantees offered by the above mentioned multilateral entities.
